The future. It's supposed to be futuristic, with hover cars, men on the moon, robots, and among the same like. However, things have gone a wire, plans are changing; some, are not for the best either. The Earth's fossil fuels are beginning to run out. Gas prices have shot up as a result. Citizens are beginning to become worried and angry. Why hadn't anyone predicted this? Why was nothing done about it? The cost has become too much for The United States to buy oil from Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
It is only a miracle that Canada is so close, and with oil piling in Canada's tar sands, one could only hope it would last a life time. However, Canada is fighting back, a war has been started. The majority of the fighting has been across the border, which now has become a war zone--a dangerous, deserted wasteland. The United States is a powerful nation, and they need the oil to keep that status. They've released their most faithful companion for a search, the dog. However, they're not aiming to rescue.
